Inventory Type: Serialized & Non-Serialized
Feature description
This feature enables sellers to efficiently retrieve order details for multiple unscanned shipments provided by a courier partner during pickup. By inputting a list of order numbers or tracking numbers, the system provides a consolidated view of the corresponding order information. This streamlines the process of verifying and managing shipments that were not initially scanned, ensuring accuracy and expediting resolution.
Use Case
Scenario:
"FashionHub," an online clothing retailer, experiences a high volume of daily shipments. During a recent pickup, a courier partner informs the warehouse staff that a set of orders, due to time constraints, were not scanned into their handheld device. The courier provides a list of these unscanned order numbers to FashionHub's warehouse team. FashionHub needs to quickly retrieve the details of these orders to verify shipment and to address potential discrepancies.
Problem:
Manually searching for each order individually would be time-consuming and prone to errors.Lack of scanned data creates uncertainty about the status and details of these shipments.
Delays in resolving this issue could lead to customer inquiries and potential delivery issues.
Solution: Implementing the Advanced Order Search Feature
FashionHub implements the "Advanced Order Search" feature within their warehouse management system.
How it works:
- Courier Arrival: When a courier partner arrives for pickups, the staff can immediately access the Advance Order Search feature
- Quick Search: The warehouse staff enters the list of unscanned order numbers provided by the courier partner into the system's search interface.
- Instant Retrieval: The system instantly retrieves the corresponding order details, including the customer's name, package location within the warehouse, etc.
- Verification: The courier can quickly verify the information and locate the correct package for pickup.
Benefits:
- Faster Pickups: Courier partners can complete pickups significantly faster, reducing wait times and improving overall efficiency.
- Reduced Errors: The automated search eliminates the risk of manual errors, ensuring accurate pickups.
- Improved Courier Satisfaction: Courier partners appreciate the convenience and efficiency of the new system, leading to stronger partnerships.
- Enhanced Warehouse Efficiency: Warehouse staff can focus on other tasks, as the pickup process becomes more streamlined.
- Improved Customer Experience: Faster pickups contribute to quicker deliveries, enhancing the overall customer experience.
