How to Configure Brands Using Brand Master in EasyEcom

Overview

Brand Master allows users to configure brand names centrally and select them while creating or editing SKUs in Product Master.
Previously, users could enter brand names manually in the Brand field of Product Master. With Brand Master, users can configure brands under Masters → Brand Master and select active brands from a dropdown.
Important:
  • Brand Master is optional.
  • Once a user creates a brand in Brand Master, the Brand Master workflow is automatically enabled for Product Master.
  • Users must use Brand Master to add and manage brands going forward. Brand Master can be deactivated only from the backend.
  • Users can view configured brands and download their mapped SKUs from Brand Master.

Use Case

  • Configure brand names in Brand Master.
  • Select configured brands while creating or editing SKUs in Product Master.
  • Manage brand status.
  • View and download SKUs mapped to a brand.

Prerequisites

  • Only Vendor Admin users can configure Brand Master.
  • Brands can be created only from the Primary Location.

Workflow

A. Configure Brand Master (Masters > Brand Master)

  1. Open Brand Master.
  2. Click Configure Brand.

  3. Select UI Interface or Bulk Create (CSV).

  4. Enter or upload brand names.
For bulk product uploads, the brand name must match a brand configured in Brand Master. Otherwise, the upload fails with an error.
  5. Save or complete the configuration.

B. Product Master - Brand Field

If no brand has been created in Brand Master, the Brand field remains a manual input field.

After a brand is created in Brand Master:
  • Active brands appear in the Brand dropdown.
  • Inactive brands do not appear in the dropdown.
Note: For bulk product uploads, the brand name must match a brand configured in Brand Master. Otherwise, the upload fails with the following error: Brand name entered does not match the Brands which is configured under Brand Master.
C. Manage Brand Status
Open Brand Master and locate the required brand.
Click the Action icon and select Activate or Deactivate.

Note: A brand mapped to an SKU cannot be deactivated. The system displays this error if attempted: Brand is mapped with SKU, please remove the brand from products.

D. Download Brand Mapped SKUs

Click the Download icon against a brand to download the SKUs mapped to that brand in an Excel file.
