Use QZ Tray with EasyEcom

QZ Tray is a software used to send printing commands to your printer.


How to install QZ tray software and change the printer settings in EasyEcom application:


STEP 1: You need to have Java(JDK) application in your system.

To check whether it is already installed or not: Go to control panel>programs> programs and features> search Java

If it is not installed, Go to https://www.filehorse.com/download-java-development-kit-64/63537/download/ and select download for windows 64-Bit.

Once its downloaded, install the JDK application.


STEP 2: You need to install QZ tray application in the system.

To check whether it is already installed or not: Go to control panel>programs> programs and features> search QZ tray

If it is not installed, Go to https://qz.io/download/ and select install for the windows option

Once its downloaded, install QZ tray.

NOTE: JDK needs to be installed first and then QZ tray.


STEP 3: Check once the QZ tray is installed. You will be able to see QZ in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. Refer to the screenshot.


Reload QZ tray from the taskbar.


STEP 4: Once it's installed, go to EasyEcom.

a) Hamburger menu > Order > Order batches>>hamburger menu at the right top > printer settings:



b) Select QZ tray from this dropdown:


c) Select the printer you want to send all the printing commands to and click on save.


Error cases :

You will get below error if-

  1. QZ tray is not installed or
  2. QZ tray is installed but it is not working/opened.
