Steps to Add Child Location

Overview

EasyEcom allows users to create multiple locations to manage operations across different warehouses or business units.
A child location can be created under the primary account to manage location-specific details such as address, GST details, and operational configurations.

When to Use This Feature

Use this feature when:
  • Creating additional locations under the same account
  • Managing multiple warehouses or stores
  • Maintaining separate location-level address and GST details

Operational Context

Primary Location

  • The first location created when an account is set up
  • Available by default in the account
  • Used to access Location Master

Child Location

  • A location created under the same account
  • Represents an additional warehouse or store
  • Maintains its own location-specific details
  • Location Master is accessible when operating from the primary location context

Workflow

Step 1: Navigate to 'Masters → Location Master'


Step 2: Click on 'Create New Location'

Step 3: Enter Location details & Save

Basic Details
  • Location/Warehouse Name
  • User Email
Billing Address
  • Address
  • Country
  • State
  • City
  • ZIP / Postal Code
  • Phone Number
  • Option to copy address
GST & Location Details
  • Tax Identification Number (Billing GSTIN)
  • Ship To GSTIN (if GSTIN for the dispatch address is available)
  • Location Type (Warehouse / Store)

If Location Type is selected as "Store", additional fields are required:

  • Store Operating Days
  • Store Operating Time
Operational Settings
  • Holds Stocks (Yes / No)
  • Copy Master SKU from Primary (Yes / No)
  • Cancel quantity if order partially fulfilled

If the same SKUs are to be managed from the primary account, select "Yes" for the applicable options. Otherwise, select "No".

Bulk Location Creation (Optional)

Locations can also be created in bulk using the "Bulk Locations Import" option available in Location Master.
  • Download the template
  • Enter the required details
  • Upload the file to create multiple locations

System Behavior

  • A new location is created under the same account
  • The location appears in Location Master
  • The location can be selected for use in operations

Outcome

  • Child location is successfully created
  • Location is available for operational use
