Putaway Process

What is Putaway?
Putaway is the process within warehouse management systems (WMS) where received goods are transported from the receiving area to their designated storage locations.
It is critical for ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods.

You can perform the putaway activity for each SKU individually or process them in bulk, depending on your operational needs.

Steps to Perform Putaway Activity for each SKU-

Step 1. Navigate to the toggle menu>>Inventory>>Manage Inventory


Step 2. Navigate to the section you want to put away the inventory for or want to see the suggested bins for (Returned/Cancelation) inventory.


Step 3. Click on the Bin (as highlighted in the image below)

Step 4: Enter the asterisk (*) marked details


You may click the suggested bin tag to accept the suggestion.

Step 5: Confirm 


Steps to Perform Putaway Activity in Bulk-

Step 1. Navigate to the toggle menu>>Inventory>>Manage Inventory
Step 2. Click on the Hamburger Menu and select Bulk Putaway


Step 3. Select Putaway type and save the template


Step 4. Fill in the required details in Sheet
(Mandatory fields- SKU, Quantity, Bin)

Step 5. Choose the file and Submit


You may check the progress of the uploaded sheet in the import section as shown in the image below.
