Feature description
Prefetch Settings is a new feature designed to streamline your order fulfillment process. By enabling Prefetch Settings, you can proactively fetch invoices and shipping labels for orders placed on integrated marketplaces. This proactive approach significantly reduces wait times during order processing, preventing delays and ensuring that the service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
Use Case
Scenario:
An e-commerce platform integrates with multiple marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart) to expand its reach and sales. However, some marketplaces have longer processing times for generating invoices and shipping labels, which can delay order fulfilment and negatively impact customer satisfaction.
Problem:
- Delayed Order Processing: A slower generation of invoices and labels can lead to delays in order processing and shipping.
- Missed SLAs: Delayed order fulfilment can result in missed service level agreements (SLAs) with customers.
- Reduced Customer Satisfaction: Late shipments and delivery delays can negatively impact customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
Solution:
By implementing Prefetch Settings, the e-commerce platform can proactively fetch invoices and shipping labels for orders placed on these marketplaces, significantly reducing processing time and improving overall efficiency.
How Prefetch Settings Helps:
1. Faster Order Processing: The platform automatically fetches required documents as soon as an order is placed, eliminating the need to wait for marketplace generation.
2. Improved SLA Compliance: By streamlining the order processing workflow, the platform can more consistently meet SLAs.
3. Enhanced Customer Experience: Faster order processing and shipping lead to improved customer satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Increased Operational Efficiency: Automating the document fetching process reduces manual effort and minimizes human error.
Specific Benefits:
- Reduced Order Processing Time: Orders can be processed and shipped faster, leading to quicker delivery times.
- Improved Customer Satisfaction: Timely order fulfillment enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Enhanced Operational Efficiency: Automating the process reduces manual effort and streamlines workflows.
- Increased Sales: Faster order processing can lead to increased sales and revenue.
By leveraging Prefetch Settings, the e-commerce platform can optimize its operations, improve customer experience, and gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Workflow
Step 1: Go to Hamburger Menu > Account Settings
Step 2: Select Other Settings tab > Prefetch Settings
Step 3: Choose the Marketplace for which you wish to apply the prefetch settings
Step 4: Select the SLA that you wish to prefetch the invoice and the label
If you have a Same Day SLA, it means that the system is set up to automatically generate shipping labels and invoices for all orders that have the SLA for that day. This is done ahead of time to ensure that orders can be processed and shipped quickly, without any delays.
A Same Day + Next Day SLA means that if the prefetch process runs today, the system will automatically generate shipping labels and invoices for both today's orders (Same Day SLA) and tomorrow's orders (Next Day SLA).
Step 5: Select the Prefetch Timings according to the SLAs of the specific marketplace
Step 7: Click "Update Settings"
Step 8: If you wish to add more than one Prefetch Timings, Go to the (+) icon in the Action Tab.
