How to update Tax for past orders

Updating tax for your past orders is important for tax filing purposes. 

On EasyEcom, users can easily update the Tax Rules for their past orders also.

This means that, if a user has taken a subscription in 2020, s/he can update the Tax Rules for the preceding years also on the EasyEcom application. 

This helps users in handling taxes for all their product categories, for multiple years from a single account. 


Note that you can update tax for past for old orders only when your Tax Master is configured. To configure your Tax Master please follow this process. 

Follow the below-mentioned procedure to update the tax for past orders.


Step 1:  In the toggle menu, navigate to “Masters >> Tax Master”



Step 2: Click on the “Set Tax Rule” button

Once you click on Tax Master, you will be navigated to the following web page:


Here click on the “Set Tax Rule” button. 


Step 3: Click on the “Update Tax For Past Orders” button


Once you click on it, the following pop-up will appear:



Step 4: Select the time duration for which you want to update the Tax Rate


Once you have updated your Tax Date please click on the “Submit” button. 

Step 5: Select Category

Select the category of all the products for which you want to update the Tax Rate.



Step 6: Select Tax Rule

Select the Tax Rule you want to apply from the drop-down option. 


Step 7: Submit your Tax Rule’s update




Click on the "Submit" button.

Your Tax Rate for the past orders is now successfully updated.
